Job Description

At AniTech Limited, we revolutionize the field of pre-clinical study by harnessing the power of AI in the drug screening process. To facilitate the rapid expansion of our company, we are seeking a talented Product Development Scientist who will be responsible for building the electroencephalogram (EEG)-based AI platform for pre-clinical drug screening.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing process or production trial and scale up, generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility in terms of profitability, resource availability and compliance with regulations.
• Analyze results and prepare experimental documents and reports.
• Assist in protocols and SOPs development.
• Liaise with engineering, research, technical and production staff, vendors, investors, academic researchers and external collaborators to coordinate research or commercialization projects.
• Responsible for writing and reading technical documents, journal articles, technical reports, reviews and specifications, patent and industrial grant/funding applications.
• Collaborate with lab personnel and external partners, develop research projects and funding opportunities, and provide scientific insights and feedback.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret and present findings to internal and external stakeholders. Report findings and project update at company internal meetings.

Job Requirements

• Postgraduate levels (Master’s or Ph.D. degree holder) in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, and related disciplines. Ph.D. degree holder is advantageous.
• Proficient and meticulous in various animal behavioural testing and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in pre-clinical animal research studies (i.e., small molecules or drug screening) and behavioral data analysis involving animal models of neurodegenerative diseases such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s Disease.
• Able to perform EEG feature extraction from raw EEG data for the development of new database infrastructure and storage of EEG data collected from disease mice treated with standard drugs.
• Proactive, independent and is able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of responsibility of completing tasks.
• Excellent communication skills. Highly proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
