AniTech Limited, a CityUHK research spin-off company supported by HK Tech 300 and Cyberport, pioneers AI-driven solutions in medical healthcare. Our AI-electroencephalogram (EEG) neurological disease screening platform utilizes advanced brainwave pattern recognition to identify disease markers and detect undiagnosed patients with conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), enabling earlier interventions. Unlike traditional psychiatric questionnaires, which are subjective, our AI-EEG-MDD screening platform provides an objective assessment of depression severity to assist physicians in prioritizing appointments and evaluating treatment efficacy. More importantly, it facilitates large-scale community-based mental health screenings, allowing early detection of hidden patients with MDD. This approach aims to reduce the burden on public healthcare system and helps prevent undesirable tragedies through timely support and intervention.
